ST. PETERSBURG HAS A RICH SELECTION of traditional cultural offerings that allows you to spend day after day at museums, galleries, and palaces and evenings at ballets, operas and concerts at night, as if this is the kind of thing that rubs your tater. Manifestations of “popular” culture – film, jazz, rock, naked people wrapped in plastic throwing hamsters at each other – are fewer but they’re here, and given the newfound wealth of the younger generation it would be safe to assume that more and more will appear.
